For example, lithium batteries are more energy efficient, environmentally friendly and pollution-free compared to batteries. The lead-acid batteries used in traditional electric vehicles generate a lot of pollution and lead vapor after they are disposed of. According to statistics, a group of waste batteries of electric vehicles can pollute tens of thousands of tons of water. Lead is not easily excreted from the body and can also cause metabolic, reproductive and neurological diseases. Once the lead level in the body exceeds the standard, it will lead to decreased intelligence, fetal malformation, easily induce malignant tumors, and even lead to the death of children.

Compared with batteries, lithium batteries have natural advantages in environmental protection. Lithium battery packaging materials do not contain cadmium, lead, mercury and other harmful heavy metals. Lithium batteries do not produce any pollutants during the production and use process, thus ensuring human health. Therefore, it is easy to solve the problem of soil and water pollution in the recycling process of used batteries.

Lithium iron phosphate battery packs do not contain any heavy and rare metals, are non-toxic, non-polluting in production and use, comply with European ROHs regulations, and are green batteries.

In addition, the lithium battery pack also has the advantages of high specific energy, long cycle life, low self-discharge rate, no memory effect, etc.. Lithium batteries have high energy storage density, reaching 460-600wh / kg, about 6-7 times that of lead-acid batteries. The battery with lithium ferrous phosphate as the positive electrode has a service life of more than 6 years, charged by 1CDOD and used 10,000 times.

The lithium battery pack for electric vehicles has a high load capacity of up to 15-30c charge and discharge capacity, which is convenient for high intensity starting and acceleration. Self-discharge rate is very low, generally can be used as 1% / month less than 1/20 NiMH batteries; lithium batteries can fully meet the needs of car power, in addition to the green features, it has become the ideal product for electric vehicle applications.

Is lithium battery really so environmentally friendly?

From the development of new energy vehicles, lithium battery pack is more environmentally friendly, and the development of automotive fuel is accompanied by the development of energy. In the oil era, the use of gasoline and diesel as automotive fuel will not only lead to urban air pollution, but also due to the shortage of oil supply leading to rising fuel prices, followed by the emergence of natural gas vehicles and biofuels as alternative fuel vehicles. The development of energy will gradually transition to renewable energy, the emergence of electric vehicles using solar and wind power generation, and eventually the emergence of new energy vehicles with power lithium batteries as the main energy storage method.

At present, the cathode materials of lithium battery pack mainly include lithium cobaltate, lithium manganate and lithium iron phosphate, and the negative materials mainly include graphite and lithium titanate. In recent years, with the increasing awareness of environmental protection in our daily life, we have to consider materials from other aspects. Lithium batteries should gradually start to manufacture cathode and anode materials by hand, instead of blindly extracting the required elements from ores, thus greatly reducing environmental pollution.
